Privacy policy

This is a translation provided for convenience. The French version is the only legally binding version; in case of discrepancy, it prevails.
This page explains what data the game Tactical Saga (tacticalsaga.com) uses, why, for how long, and what your rights are. In short: we only collect what is strictly necessary for your account, your saves and your purchase; no advertising, no tracking, no resale of data.

2. Playing without an account
The first chapter can be played without creating an account. Your progress is then stored only in your browser (see § 4): we receive no game data.

No banking data is transmitted to us: payment takes place on Stripe’s secure page, and Stripe alone receives and processes your payment information.
We only ask Google for your basic identity (identifier, email, first name). The game has no access to your contacts, your emails or any other data in your Google account.
4. What stays on your device
The game stores the following in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), on your device:
- your game save and your options (sound, speed, tips already seen);
- your account status (name, version purchased), so that you can play offline;
- a copy of the game files, so that it works offline once installed.
This information is not sent to us, except for the save when you are signed in (see § 3). You can delete it at any time (game Options > Delete save, or by clearing the site’s data in your browser).
5. Cookies
The site uses a single cookie, ts_session, which keeps you signed in and protects
your account against fraudulent requests. It is strictly necessary for the service and therefore does
not require your consent. It expires after 30 days or when you sign out.
No advertising or audience measurement cookies are used.
6. Third-party services
- Google (Google Ireland Limited): sign-in with your Google account, and display of the game’s fonts (Google Fonts). Loading these services transmits your IP address to Google. If you use the sign-in button, Google may set its own cookies. Google Privacy Policy.
- Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, Ireland): payment for the full version. Stripe Privacy Policy.
- OVH SAS (France): hosting of the website and the database, in France.
Google and Stripe may process certain data in the United States; these transfers are governed by the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
Your data is not sold, rented or shared for commercial purposes.
7. Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. The identity provided by Google is verified by our server, the session cookie cannot be read by the page’s scripts, and access to the database is restricted to the game server.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict and object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise these rights, write to contact@tacticalsaga.com from the email address of your Google account. We respond within one month.
Deleting your account erases your profile and your online save. Purchase information is kept for the duration of the accounting obligation, with no other use.
You can also revoke Tactical Saga’s access to your Google account at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
If you believe that your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
9. Minors
Players under 15 must have a parent’s consent to create an account. The purchase of the full version by a minor requires the authorization of their legal representative.
10. Changes
This policy may change, for example if the game offers new features. The date of the last update appears at the top of the page.
